Hyderabad, July 2

Zedds, the domestic fashion footwear brand, today opened its second fully owned outlet in Hyderabad and has announced plans to set up 15 stores within two years.

The Director of Zedds, Mr Rajesh Rawtani, said the company is now in talks with retail chains and large format stores to step up its presence.

Addressing a press conference at the Jubilee Hills store here today, Mr Rawtani said this new store is part of the company’s Rs 4 crore national expansion plan and a new brand retailing strategy. “We plan to set up 10 exclusive business outlets by 2010 initially,” he said.

On priority are stores in Mumbai and Indore where the company is all set to commission its stores in PVR, Cinemax, and stores such as Loft.

The company designs about 25 pairs a month and offers sizes up to 49, which is like size 16 for men. No footwear maker offers such sizes, he said.
