Punj Lloyd bags Libyan contracts

New Delhi, July 2

Punj Lloyd announced on Thursday that it had secured three new contracts worth Rs 1,873.18 crore for installation of utilities in Libya. The contracts will also include designing, procurement and commissioning of utilities for three towns in Libya.

The contracts were awarded by the Housing and Infrastructure Board and scheduled for completion within 48 months.

According to the contract, Punj Lloyd will develop roads, networks for drinking water, sewage and storm water, electrical and telecommunication work for Zawara, Ragdaleen and Al Jamail towns in Libya. The order backlog for the Punj Lloyd Group on a consolidated basis is Rs 23,939.21 crore. - Our Bureau
