Century Plyboards (I) Ltd reported a consolidated gross turnover of Rs 1,176.27 crore for 2008-09, marking an increase of over 17 per cent from Rs 1,001.45 crore in 2007-08. Consolidated net profit, however, dropped to Rs 57.20 crore from Rs 111.67 crore in the previous year. The company said it incurred a loss of Rs 27.25 crore arising out of foreign exchange fluctuations. It, however, said that there was no impact of this on the profit for the year.
