Kolkata, July 2Public sector construction company Bridge and Roof Co (India) Ltd plans to enhance its presence in West Asian countries, especially Kuwait.
Its CMD, Mr Mukesh Jha, told newspersons on Tuesday that the company which currently has a Rs 200-crore order from Kuwait, looks to step up its presence in that country.
Order book
Overseas orders at present contributed to 30 per cent of BRCIL’s total order book position of Rs 1,850 crore, he said.
It also plans to bid in consortium with private companies to grab a larger share of the domestic construction market. Joint ventures with private companies are also being considered.
Mr Jha was hopeful of securing a larger share of the Railways’ construction projects. “If the Indian Railways goes ahead with its expansion plans, we expect to get a larger share of it,” he said.
