Israeli co to start dairy farm in AP

Hyderabad, July 3

Elbit India Agriculture, an Israeli company, will start a large dairy farm with 10,000 cows at Palamaner in Chittoor district. The company would invest over Rs 600 crore on the dairy farm which will come up over 350 acres. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajashekara Reddy, agreed to the proposal of the Israeli company on Thursday. A part of the dairy will also be opened at Pulivendula in Kadapa district. High milk yielding cows will be brought from New Zealand and embryo transfer will be done in India. - Our Bureau
