Karnataka Bank enters Bihar

Mangalore, July 8

Karnataka Bank Ltd has made its entry into Bihar with the opening of a branch at Patna. A bank release said here that with the opening of 448th branch of the bank in Patna, the bank now has presence in 20 States. Inaugurating the branch, Mr Ananthakrishna, Chairman, said the bank will open 27 new branches to take the tally to 475 by end-March 2010. Mr P. Jayarama Bhat, Managing Director-designate, was present on the occasion.
