Lepakshi outlet at Shamshabad

Hyderabad, July 9

Lepakshi, the sales emporium of the Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation, was opened at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad. It is the 18th outlet of the corporation and was inaugurated by the State Minister for Major Industries, Mr Kanna Laxminarayana, on Tuesday, according to a release. In a related development, the corporation presented a cheque for Rs 7.5 lakh towards dividend for 2007-08 to the Chief Minister on Wednesday. The Handicrafts Corporation achieved a turnover of Rs 51.33 crore, including exhibition sales of Rs 14.2 crore. Its net profit was Rs 171 lakh.
