Railway Budget LS passes Railway Budget
Ms Mamta Banerjee New Delhi, July 9 The Lok Sabha today passed the Railway Budget for 2009-10 after conclusion of a discussion on the demand for grants. The demand for grants will now go to the Rajya Sabha for clearance. The Railway Minister, Ms Mamata Banerjee, announced two new non-stop trains during her discussion in the Lok Sabha. She had already announced 12 non-stop trains in her Budget speech. She said the Railways will continue to increase spending on building new lines, getting more wagons and coach es.
