Small traders urged to join Kerala shopping fest

The State Industries Minister, Mr Elamaram Kareem, has called upon all small-scale traders in the State to join in the third season of the Grand Kerala Shopping Festival and recognise the trade potential and prizes offered by GKSF.

Every trade establishment in the State who registers in the Shopping Festival will be able to give away prizes, including gold worth crores of rupees.

The State Government is organising the festival and giving away prizes worth crores of rupees for the revitalisation of the trade and commerce sectors in the State.

Large-scale trade establishments have already registered themselves in the gold and silver categories. Small-scale traders can also register in these categories.

If they feel the registration fees are too high, the traders can join in the general category.

The registration fee in the general category is only Rs 1,000.

This category is only for shops with less than 100 sq ft area and whose annual turnover is less than Rs 2 lakh.

It is for the first time in the history of the State that help on such a large extent is being given to small-scale traders by the Government.

Huge discounts and attractive packages are being offered so that all types of traders can participate in the festival.
