Madurai, Nov. 2 The Information Technology Park promoted by the Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (Elcot) at Ilandaikulam, one of the two coming up in Madurai, will be ready by August next year, according to Dr Santosh Babu, Managing Director of Elcot. The works are progressing as scheduled. While the infrastructural works would be completed by December, the building would be over by August next, he told reporters, after inspecting the site here on Monday. The IT Park is coming up in an area of 28.91 acres on the ring road in Madurai North Taluk. Elcot is developing an area of 78,000 sq.ft, of which 50,000 sq.ft is for IT building and the remaining, for overall amenities. Three companies – HCL, Honey Well and Tessolve Services – have been allotted land in the park but they are yet to start the construction works.
