Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Nov. 3 International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (Icrisat) will implement a five-year project in Bangladesh that seeks to improve the quantity and quality of village-based information.

“The project is aimed at decreasing severity of poverty by increasing the availability of data. This will be helpful in advancing policy dialogue on dry lands,” Dr William Dar, Director-General of Icrisat, said here in a press release.

Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Village Dynamics Studies project is undertaken with the help of National Agricultural Economics and Policy Research.
