DQE to produce animated ‘Lassie’

Hyderabad, Nov. 3

DQE, an animation and gaming development company, will co-produce a €8.37-million television series based on the popular character Lassie. The animated series is being developed by the US-based Classic Media that owned the original rights on the subject. Lassie, the dog in Eric Knight’s 1940 novel Lassie Come-Home, was first turned into a television programme in 1954 and went on to become one of the longest run serials with a total of 691 epi sodes.
