Tea 4-week low offerings at Coonoor tea auction P.S. Sundar Coonoor, Nov. 4 A volume of 15.89 lakh kg will be offered for Sale No: 45 of the auctions of Coonoor Tea Trade Association to be held on Thursday and Friday, reveals an analysis of the listing by brokers. This is the lowest volume of the last four weeks. It is 11,000 kg less than last week’s offer but as much as 3.04 lakh kg more than the offer this time last year. Although the volume keeps falling week after week, substantial portion of the offer comprises teas remaining unsold in previous auctions where the bids had fallen short of the fixed base price. In the 15.89 lakh kg, fresh arrival is 10.82 lakh kg. As much as 5.07 lakh kgs comprise teas remaining unsold in previous auctions. Leaf & dustOf the 15.89 lakh kg on offer, 10.52 lakh kg belongs to the leaf grades and 5.37 lakh kg belongs to the dust grades.
