City Union Bank net rises 21.5%


Coimbatore, Nov. 4

City Union Bank has reported a 21.51 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 45.85 crore for the quarter ended September 2009, against Rs 37.65 crore during the corresponding quarter of the earlier fiscal. Its interest income rose 21.5 per cent to Rs 235.65 crore (Rs 193.93 crore) and total income by 30.5 per cent to Rs 284.98 crore (Rs 218.32 crore). Total advances grew by 18.8 per cent to Rs 5,749 crore as at end September 2009, from Rs 4,840 crore a year ago. Deposits inc reased 29.5 per cent to Rs 8,933 crore (Rs 6,896 crore). CASA (Current and Savings Account) deposits rose 30.28 per cent and term deposits 29.35 per cent.
