Poly Medicure net up 92%

New Delhi, Nov. 4

Poly Medicure Ltd, manufacturers of medical devices and disposables under the brand name, Polymed, has reported a 92 per cent increase in profit to Rs 3.87 crore during the quarter ended September 30,2009 compared with Rs 2 crore in the same quarter last year. The company's net sales stood at Rs 31.35 crore (Rs 30.30 crore).

Mr Himanshu Baid, Managing Director, Poly Medicure Ltd, said, "Polymed attributes its performance to opening more sales offices across India, implementation of backward integration of projects, increased sales realisation and improved working capital management." Polymed plans to open sales depots in all major cities with increase in the sales and marketing staff by 25 per cent in this financial year. Mr Baid also announced capex of Rs 20 crore for expansion of capacity of its major products like Safety I V Cannula, blood bags and catheters. - Our Bureau
