Hyderabad, Nov. 5 Legrand India, a subsidiary of France-based Legrand Group, has launched a new range of wiring devices, Arteor, for commercial and residential constructions.

“The design is international but the devices have been customised to suit the specific tastes of markets in 40 countries across the world, including India,” Mr Yves Martinez, Managing Director, Legrand India Pvt Ltd, told newspersons after launching the product here.

Legrand had emerged as a ‘significant’ player in the devices segment in the country with 11 per cent market share, he said. The market for wiring devices was estimated at Rs 1,200 crore, he added.

The company would also increase its investment in India over a period of time. “At present, India accounts for about 5 per cent of total revenues of the Group (€4.1 billion last year).

However, going forward, it will be a major market along with other emerging one’s like Brazil,” he said.

With three manufacturing units and one R&D centre in India, Legrand was expecting to clock over Rs 400 crore revenue this year with 8-10 per cent growth over last year (Rs 380 crore), he added.
