Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency (TEDA) is focusing on the use of solar, biomass and biogas power, according to Mr R. Christodas Ghandhi, Chairman and Managing Director. The use of solar power in Tamil Nadu could not be quantified at present but around 1,000 MW could be generated in about a decade.The use would get a boost after the Centre announces its National Solar Mission Policy during mid-November, aimed at generation of 20,000 MW nationally, he told reporters her e on Thursday, after addressing a seminar on solar and biomass power, attended by representatives of 60 engineering colleges affiliated to Anna University, Tiruchi.
