Indiabulls Fin acquires Suzlon’s pledged shares

Mumbai, Nov. 5 Indiabulls Financial Services has increased its stake in the Suzlon Energy Ltd to 6.38 per cent from 4.59 per cent by virtue of acquiring the pledge shares as a pledgee.

The company acquired the 1.79 per cent additional stake or 2.79 crore shares of the wind turbine major by way of pledged shares, Indiabulls Financial said in a BSE disclosure.

Prior to the acquisition, Indiabulls held 4.59 per cent stake in the company.

At the end of September quarter, promoters held 53.08 per cent stake in Suzlon. Besides, a total of 43.28 per cent of the promoter holding was pledged, according the shareholding pattern available with the exchanges.

The size of the transaction was not disclosed by both companies.
