Ashok Hotels to come up in more cities

New Delhi, Nov. 5

The state-owned India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) Ashok brand of hotels is to further expand its presence. On Thursday it signed memorandum of understanding with six hotels premises in various cities including Kolkata, Manesar, Jodhpur and Nagpur. The properties with which agreements have been signed are in the three-five star categories, ITDC said in a statement. The agreements with the various hotel properties have been signed under the Ashok Alliance scheme o f Hotels which allows its member hotels to suffix ‘Ashok’ to their name. The signing of the MoU will see a five-star Ashok branded airport hotel come up in Kolkata.
