Madurai, Nov. 6 The Kadhi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is planning a major publicity campaign to give a thrust to the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) in southern districts.

According to Mr M.T.Wakode, Director, KVIC-Madurai Division, a state-level exhibition is planned in February to showcase products made by PMEGP entrepreneurs.

At the district-level, five more exhibitions have been planned at Karaikudi, Pudukottai, Kodaikanal, Palayamkottai and Kanyakumari during the financial year.

Two awareness camps have also been planned.For those interested in entrepreneurial ventures, the department officials would help in project preparations and give technical details and the project reports would be submitted to respective district task force committee, chaired by district collector, he added.
