Ramco Systems plans foray into tier II, III towns

Ahmedabad, Nov. 6 Taking advantage of the “waning recession”, software products and services provider Ramco Systems Ltd plans to expand its presence in India. It plans to penetrate tier-II and III towns and attain a growth rate of 20 per cent within the next two years, said Mr Balaji Rangachari, Practice Head, Manufacturing and Infrastructure.

Here to attract new clients, he said Ramco Systems is targeting the small and medium scale industries in the chemicals, textiles, automobiles, infrastructure, food and agro space.

“In the next six months, we hope to acquire Rs 2-3 crore of business space and it would be fine if we grow at five to 10 per cent this year, considering the effects of the recession,” he said.

The company hopes to share the Ramco HCM Payroll Solution with corporates from the State, said Mr K. Shyaam Sunder, Practice Head, HCM. The solution helps maintain employee records in an integrated manner, statutory reporting and automation in payroll, reimbursements, training and absent management, he added.

The Chennai-based company has six offices and services clients such as Adani logistics, Torrent Power, Intel, Reebok and Subhiksha.

The group turnover is at $800 million and it employs 1,400 professionals.
