Malayalam media portal launched

Kochi, Nov. 8 The Best of Malayalam Group has expanded its media ventures with the launch of ‘bestofmalayalamnews.com’, a Malayalam media portal for the Global Malayali.

The portal is designed for the Malayalam readers, always on the go. The uniqueness of the portal is that it does not try to be a substitute for the print media. The portal selects, edits, and updates items related to news, entertainment, health, lifestyle etc and uploads them in short, crisp format.

“It is for a truly global Malayali who is busy, and yet wishes to remain connected,” Mr Christopher John, CEO of the group, said.

Bestofmalayalam Group a media company registered in Pennsylvania in the US. Mr John, a tech-savvy media entrepreneur, set his footprints in the entertainment industry with the popular Best of Malayalam service in 2006.

TV platform

Making its debut as the only authorised Internet TV provider of popular Malayalam channels, the Bestofmalayalam Group entertained Malayalis even in areas where the channels could not make their satellite footprints. The company made news by introducing the broadband TV platform for the Malayalam channels for the first time.

Broadband TV platform is the latest technology adopted by the news and entertainment media worldwide. The video-on-demand service was introduced in the Malayalam entertainment industry for the first time through the company-owned BomTV .

The Bestofmalayalam Group has plans for more media ventures.
