Vodafone is largest in Bengal

Vodafone Essar is the only service provider with 100 per cent accessibility in Kolkata, says a company release quoting a TRAI report on comparative analysis of all telecom players in Kolkata and West Bengal. Vodafone has got the largest network in West Bengal with 7737 BTSs and 9.1 million subscribers (COAI September 2009) and the outdoor network coverage in Kolkata and West Bengal is currently 100 per cent and 98.4 per cent, respectively, the release adds.
