Vrindavan TechVillage to add more space by next year

Anjali Prayag

Bangalore, Nov. 10 Vrindavan TechVillage, an SEZ being developed by Assetz Property Group in Bangalore, will add a million sq.ft to its existing business park by the middle of next year.

Mr Mike Holland, CEO, AssetzProperty Group, said that the company is talking to ‘top names in the IT sector’ and some major brokers for bringing tenants on board.

Now, a fully operational SEZ with about one million sq. ft already occupied by Cisco, Sony, Satyam, Talisma, Ness Technologies and KPMG, Vrindavan has around 3,000 people working in the business park. “About 200 people are being added here every month which is expected to double by next year,” Mr Holland said.

Launched in May 2007 as a business park, VTV is spread over 106 acres and expected to have up to 9 million sq. ft in a few years’ time. The project has also received a Platinum certification from LEED SEZ for its sustainability and eco-conservation efforts.

Mr Holland said that with deal sizes scaling down considerably during the last one year, it is difficult to point out to a time frame for completion of the entire 9 million sq ft project.
