Pepper futures bounce back

Pepper futures on Tuesday bounced back after dropping for the past few days. November contract on the NCDEX shot up by Rs 294 to Rs 15,068 a quintal. December and January contracts increased by Rs 307 and Rs 273 respectively to Rs 15,280 and Rs 15,480 a quintal.

Total turnover increased by 3,895 tonnes to 8,808 tonnes. Total open interest dropped by 97 tonnes to 10,979 tonnes. November open interest fell by 457 tonnes to 2,764 tonnes as the maturity is approaching.

Spot prices in tandem with the futures market trend moved up by Rs 200 to close at Rs 14,200 (un-garbled) and Rs 14,700 (MG 1)a quintal.
