Hi-speed data download at 10 paise/ MB from MTS

Bangalore, Nov. 24 MTS, the mobile telephony services brand of Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd (SSTL), has announced the launch of high speed data services MBlaze with free use of a few Web sites.

With a low tariff of 10 paise for 1 MB download, MBlaze will offerspeeds of up to 3.1 Mbps.

MTS has over 2.5 million subscribers in the telecom circles of Kolkata, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Bihar, Jharkhand, Delhi and Karnataka. MTS has more than 100 million subscribers all over the world.

MTS customers will now be able to use this pre-paid service at very low rates and there will be no roaming surcharges while using data services on the MTS network. MBlaze will be available in the eight circles MTS operates and will also be available in Mumbai in December.

MBlaze services will be extended to 26 cities by the first quarter next year. It is now available in Delhi-NCR, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Bhiwadi in Rajasthan, Kolkata, Durgapur and Siliguri in West Bengal, Patna in Bihar, Gangtok in Sikkim, Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy in Tamil Nadu, Kochi, Kozhikode, Thiruvanathapuram, in Kerala and Mysore, Mangalore, Bengaluru and Belgaum in Karnataka.

All MBlaze tariff plans allow free Internet browsing of Web sites such as Yahoo, Wikipedia, Makemytrip.
