XL Tele looks at US, Canada for solar products

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Nov. 25 XL Telecom and Energy Ltd has said that it is exploring opportunities in the US and Canada.

“The US has emerged as a major market in the last one year since the introduction of major incentives for solar projects.

“The incentives included capital subsidy from the Federal Government,” Mr Dinesh Kumar, Managing Director of XL Telecom and Energy, said here in a statement.

He said the company received the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Certification of US for its solar photovoltaic (SPV) modules.

“This certification would help us tap the US and Canadian markets. The company set up a marketing office for the region,” he added.

XL, which holds the 100 per cent export oriented unit tag for its solar segment, had been marketing the SPV products in the African and European market for the last three years.
