The three vendors would also be involved in development of multi-modal Software Development Kit (SDK) for client enrolment station, verification server, manual adjudication and monitoring function of the UID application. “We will build a new system to help manage identity-related de-duplication and verification requests from both public and private organisations. We will also assist UIDAI in performance benchmarking and management of data quality for continuous improvement of the biometric solution,” an Accenture statement said in New Delhi after bagging the contract. Mahindra Satyam tied up with the Paris-based Safran group arm, Morpho, that was known for biometric technologies and identification solutions to bid for the project. “We will develop and maintain systems that will cross-check every new application by sifting through the biometrics database, preventing accidental or fraudulent duplication,” Mr C.P. Gurnani, Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra Satyam, said here in a separate press release. “While Morpho will provide the biometric technology, Mahindra Satyam will integrate and provide support across platforms and databases,” he added.
