CHENNAI, Feb. 25

THE affluent and ever-growing Indian diaspora has created a market for property management, allied services and the management of healthcare for kith and kin in India. TTK Services Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between ttknriservices.com and BharatPlanet.com, plans to cater to this market.

The Chairman of TTK Group, Mr T.T. Jagannathan, said the total investment into the new venture was Rs10 crore. He said that the TTK Group, which has presence in trading and manufacturing, had decided to venture into the services sector because he saw this sector as the growth area.

The Managing Director of TTK Services Ltd, Mr Girish Rao, speaking at the press conference, said that this venture catered to the growing market of non-resident Indians (NRIs) who had aging parents and investments in India. The new company catered to this segment with a number of services starting from scan mail to legal services and health care. Mr Rao said that one of the key areas of concern for an NRI is the health of his dependants.

To be able to offer this service to NRIs, the company has put in place an elaborate system of physicians, specialists, diagnostic labs, paramedical support services, hospitals and insurance companies.

There will also be a call centre, which will offer 24/7 services. There are four packages for the NRI to choose from, he said.

In the case of property management, the company includes services like selling, renting out and handling tenants.

For those who like to keep their houses locked, the company offers house care packages, which include maintenance of the house with basic electrical and plumbing checks. This service also includes the payment of utility bills.

Mr Rao said the new company leverages on the strength of the two parent companies - TTK for its brand and network, and BharatPlanet.com for its web enabled services and its existing base of three lakh subscribers.
