NEW DELHI: The US-based infoUSA Inc, provider of database information to support sales and marketing, has entered India to outsource call centre and back-office services.

``After extensive consultations with a number of leading Indian call centre operators, infoUSA has already identified a number of organisations around the country and expects to commence business with them in the next three weeks,'' a company statement said here.

Founded in 1972 by Chairman and CEO, Mr Vinod Gupta, the Nasdaq-listed infoUSA has over 2,000 employees.

``We see this initiative adding considerable value to our $340 million turnover internationally, while contributing over $ four million to the India call centre companies initially,'' Mr Gupta said in the statement.

The Indian call centres would service up to 25 million calls per annum in survey work and customer care, the company said.
