Kerala: WLL connectivity extended

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The wireless in local loop (WLL) infrastructure at Chirayankeezhu, Neyyattinkara and Nedumangad taluks under Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd's (BSNL)Thiruvananthapuram secondary switching area will be commissioned shortly, a BSNL spokesman said.

It is proposed that 500 connections be given in each taluk. These will be provided from Nagaroor, Poikamuku, Vakkom, Plammottukada, Pongummoodu, Parassala and Aruvikkara.

The spokesman also said that connections would also be given out from Vithura, Peringammala and Elavupalam ex-servicemen colony areas under the Bharatannoor exchange subject to availability of signal.

Thiruvananthapuram telecom district formally introduced the CorDECT WLL phone connections on March 18.
