PUNE, April 18

THE Pune-based Persistent Systems Private Ltd, (PSPL), has inaugurated a Rs 35- crore facility, Bhageerath, dedicated to the memory of Dewang Mehta.

Dr Anand Deshpande, Founder and Managing Director of Persistent Systems, said, ``It is an overwhelming moment for the Persistent family and is a fitting tribute to a person who has helped us realise our dreams. Mr Dewang Mehta is a name synonymous with IT in India. He lives in the heart of every IT professional in the country. His invaluable initiative and drive as Chairman of Nasscom had generated many opportunities and benefits for us. This 350-seater auditorium is a small token of gratitude to him from all of us at Persistent.''

Bhageerath is based on two parameters, work and play, an atrium segregating the two core areas.

The project, spread over an area of 80,000 sq. ft can accommodate around 425 people and is harmonised with recreational facilities.
