MUMBAI: Esconet Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Escorts Ltd, has launched AutomatrixIndia, a collaborative e-commerce platform for buying and selling automotive components.

It was the first neutral and collaborative platform aimed at the Indian automobile industry, an official statement said.

According to it, the AutomatrixIndia platform covers procurement functions through procurement collaboration, order management, request for quotation and reverse auction.

AutomatrixIndia Private Ltd, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Esconet, has i2 Technologies as its technology partner. The Indian outfit would open up opportunities to access buyers and sellers abroad, through i2's TradeMatrix portal, which would provide market place-to-market place connectivity, the statement said.
