Dumping duty mooted on Vit A

NEW DELHI: The Designated Authority in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has recommended the imposition of provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of Vitamin A Palmitate from the European Union and Georgia.

The petition seeking anti-dumping probe on imports of Vitamin A Palmitate from the EU, Singapore and Georgia had been filed by Nicholas Piramal, which is the only manufacturer of the product in the country.

Industry sources said that the pricing of Vitamin A Palmitate, which is used in pharmaceutical preparations, is under the control of NPPA.
