Management HMA awards announced Our Bureau
HYDERABAD, June 27 THE Hyderabad Management Association (HMA) has selected Dr J.C. Mohanty, Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh State Financial Corporation, for the Manager of the Year award sponsored by the Kabsons group, in recognition of his leadership and for the exemplary standards of business and professional ethics he and his organisation have espoused. Mr Y.V.S.S. Murthy, Vice-Chairman of Alkali Metals Ltd, has been chosen for the Entrepreneur of the Year award sponsored by Nagarjuna Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd, for promoting and managing a company which has achieved exceptional growth. Mr R.K. Agarwal, MD of Nakoda Chemicals Ltd, will receive the Small-Scale Entrepreneur of the Year award sponsored by NMDC Ltd, for promoting and exceptionally managing a company in the SSI sector. Mr V. Chandrasekhar, Global Head of s-Governance, TCS, has been selected for the IT Professional of the Year award sponsored by Satyam Computer Services Ltd. for his contribution to IT applications. Mr Justice K. Jayachandra Reddy, Chairman of the Press Council of India, will receive the Life Time Achievement Award instituted by Global Trust Bank Ltd for competence in his profession. The awards will be given at the 30th annual awards function of HMA on June 30 by Mr P.S. Ramamohan Rao, Governor of Tamil Nadu. Mr S.K. Agarwal, President of HMA, told presspersons here on Thursday that the association had decided to organise the national convention on "Fourth generation response to global challenges'' in October in collaboration with the All India Management Association.
