Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Government has signed a memorandum of understanding with Oman-based Mr George M. Thomas for establishing the first international school in the State.

The project, part of the initiatives being taken by the Government for the Global Investors' Meet, is to come up on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram at an estimated cost of Rs 20 crore.

The school will follow the International General Cambridge School Certificate and International Baccalaureate syllabi. It is expected to meet the long-felt need of CEOs of companies located at the Technopark here, according to Mr G. Vijayaraghavan, President of Venture Management Associates, consultants to the project. The school is scheduled to admit its first batch of students in the academic year of 2003.
