Spratt Academy to offer courses on beauty therapy

BANGALORE-based Spratt Academy of Hair Design has partnered with City & Guilds International, UK and Schwarzkopf Professional, Germany to offer courses in hair design, make-up and beauty therapy.
City & Guilds is a leading provider of vocational qualifications and Schwarzkopf Professional, a hair care company.
Speaking to media persons, Ms Rita Spratt, Director, Spratt Academy of Hair Design, said, "There is no doubt that Indian fashion and beauty has arrived and has attained international stature. This means a huge demand for stylists, beauticians and related professionals who make it work.''
Spread over 4,000 sq ft, the Spratt Hair Studio will offer courses on topics such as hair cutting, styling, colouring and science and courses in beauty therapy.
Mr Vijay Nair, Regional Head, (South), City & Guilds, said, "We look forward to closely partnering with Spratt to add value to the participants of the courses to bring in changes for a global career on beauty and fashion''. Besides specific subjects, the course participants also get to learn topics such as health, safety and hygiene, professional ethics, client-care, anatomy and physiology relating to treatments, aftercare advice and career planning.
