HYDERABAD, July 26

IMAGE Healthcare Ltd, which runs a 150-bedded multi-speciality hospital at Ameerpet here, has bagged the ISO-9001 certification, thereby becoming the only hospital to get ISO certification during the first year of operations itself.

Announcing this at a press conference here, the Image Healthcare Chairman, Mr C.V. Rao, said the hospital took the initiative of implementing the ISO-9001 system aimed at providing world-class healthcare services to its customers.

"We aim to achieve total customer satisfaction by providing reliable and affordable healthcare services. We strive to attain a reputation for best quality through continual improvement of our processes and services," he said.

The hospital is embarking on an expansion programme to increase the in-patient capacity to 350 beds, for which it has already made provisions. The hospital expects this to be completed by the end of next year.

Further, plans are underway to introduce health card scheme shortly for the benefit of the general public, offering hefty discounts on various services made available at Image Hospitals, he said.

To ensure confidence levels among the public, the hospital proposes to issue post-dated cheques against the amounts deposited by them towards the health card scheme. Stating that details of the scheme were currently being worked out, he said the card would be launched sometime during the second week of August.

Apart from conducting health camps in the rural and slums areas for providing quality healthcare to all the strata of society, Image Healthcare was also conducting update programmes for the benefit of doctors, who stay in the rural and sub-urban areas, Mr Rao said.
