Hindalco, Sterlite express interest in Nalco

NEW DELHI, Sept. 16

THE A.V. Birla group company, Hindalco, and Sterlite Industries Ltd are among more than six companies to have filed their expressions of interest for acquiring a controlling stake of 29.15 per cent in state-owned National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco).

Alcoa, Pechiney and Alcan are also understood to have submitted their expressions of interest (EoIs) for acquiring Nalco, according to sources.
