BANGALORE, Nov. 27

OXEMBERG, a men's wear brand from Siyaram Silk Mills, has taken a tough stance against counterfeits in Karnataka.

The company said it was being cheated of its identity by some unscrupulous elements in Hassan district, according to a press release here.

Huge quantities of Oxemberg brand's duplicate garments, valued at Rs 2 lakh, were recently retrieved during a raid conducted by the city police from four retail outlets of readymade garments in Hassan, the release said.

Subsequent police enquiry has revealed details of some more retailers operating in other parts of Karnataka who are also indulging in this activity. Further investigations are on to trace and prosecute the manufacturers involved in this nefarious activity, the release added.
