Strategy Delta Airlines ties up with Taj Hotels for SkyMiles programme Our Bureau
NEW DELHI, Nov. 27 THE US airlines, Delta, on Wednesday announced that Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces have become a partner in the airlines frequent flier programme, SkyMiles. In a statement the airlines said that from December 1, SkyMiles members can earn 500 miles for each qualifying stay at participating Taj luxury and Taj international hotels located in India and other parts of Asia, Africa and Europe. Similarly, Taj business and leisure hotels will offer 250 miles for each qualifying stay. To launch the partnership, Taj will offer SkyMiles members double the miles for qualifying stays worldwide from January 1 to March 31, 2003. Delta offers daily intercontinental non-stop services from Mumbai to Paris, which is the airlines' European hub and onward connections on non-stop Delta flights to the airlines' US hub in Atlanta in addition to flights to New York and Cincinnati. Customers may also connect through Paris to the Mediterranean, West Asia, North Africa or Asia using the partners of Delta's global alliance, Skyteam.
