Ketan Parekh held in Mumbai

KOLKATA, Dec. 2

THE Kolkata Police today arrested stockbroker Mr Ketan Parekh, one of the accused persons in the case relating to the Rs 120-crore Calcutta Stock Exchange scam. He was picked up in Mumbai.

Mr Somen Mitra, Deputy Commissioner, Detective Department, confirmed that a team of investigating officers tracked down the broker, who is said to have played a major role in the recent stock market crisis. He will be produced before a court in Mumbai on Tuesday.

"Mr Parekh was arrested because of his alleged involvement in the CSE case," Mr Mitra said.
