AP keen on Charminar Bank revival

HYDERABAD: Efforts have been stepped up for the revival of the beleagured Charminar Urban Co-operative Bank and a decision on the plans to ensure its revival with the support of the Reserve Bank of India are underway, according to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu.

When asked to comment on Government moves to revive the bank in order to safeguard the interest of the depositors, the Chief Minister said that a detailed statement on the proposals and efforts for its revival would be made in a day or two.

A major revival package has been worked out by the Government with the RBI to ensure that the bank is put on track, it is learnt.
