Suresh Senapaty, CFO of the year

The Attorney General of India, Mr Soli Sorabjee, presenting the CFO of the year 2002 award to Mr Suresh Senapaty, Corporate Vice-President - Finance and Chief Financial Officer, Wipro, in the Capital on Thursday.

NEW DELHI: Mr Suresh Senapaty, Corporate Vice-President - Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Wipro, has been judged the CFO of the Year.

Mr V Balakrishnan, CEO of Owens Corning, Mr Praveen Kadle of Telco and Mr Sanjeev Agarwal of Standard Chartered Bank, have been awarded for their exceptional achievements in the areas of information and knowledge management, cost optimisation and mergers and acquisitions respectively.

IMA India and American Express have instituted the awards. The Chairman of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Mr M.S. Verma, headed the jury. Other members included Mr T.V. Mohandas Pai, CFO, Infosys, Mr Sunil Mittal, Chairman, Bharti Enterprises, HCL's CFO Mr Arun Duggal, and Managing Director of ICRA, Mr P.K. Choudhury.
