CHENNAI, Dec. 26

GUESTS at the Taj Connemara, a Taj group hotel in Chennai, can now access high speed Internet on their laptops from any part of the hotel, according to a press release from the hotel.

Taj Connemara has launched broadband Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) facility enabling its guests to access high speed Internet from their rooms, the coffee shop or the poolside. The hotel will provide a network card that will let users connect instantly to the Internet.

The user can choose the duration of access — one hour, two or 24 hours, with an option to upgrade the account online. The facility would cost a maximum of Rs 600 per day and a dedicated team will be available round-the-clock to offer assistance.

The wireless system is based on the internationally accepted 802.11 standards and supports up to 11 Mbps data transfer. The facility is also available at the Taj Coromandel, Chennai and the Taj Krishna, Hyderabad, the release said.
