Taj Exotica, Maldives bags best resort award

Our Kochi Bureau

BARELY six months after its launch, the Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives, has been jointly awarded the title of `The Best Resort in the World' in the first ever Harpers and Queen Travel awards.

The resort has been selected for surpassing established resorts in Maldives such as Four Seasons, Banyan Tree and Soneva Fushi, a release issued here has said.

The luxury retreat, cocooned in nature is built largely over one of Maldives only clear sand lagoons.

The resort seamlessly integrates the island's natural foliage to provide a feast for the senses.

The award was presented at a glittering ceremony in London, the release said.
