JB Chemicals net rises 13 pc

MUMBAI: JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd has registered a 13 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 11.43 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2002 against Rs 10.04 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Net sales have gone up marginally to Rs 78.51 crore (Rs 78.36 crore). Total expenditure was at Rs 63.41 crore (Rs 64.67 crore). Interest was up at Rs 37.75 lakh (Rs 32.50 lakh) and depreciation had increased to Rs 1.70 crore (Rs 1.62 crore). Provision for tax has dropped to Rs 2.89 crore (Rs 4 crore).

During the nine-month period ending December 31, 2002, the net profit has risen to Rs 36.27 crore compared to Rs 27.16 crore in the corresponding period last year. Net sales were up at Rs 225.94 crore (Rs 201.34 crore).
