NEW DELHI, March 5

GENERAL Motors India today announced a reduction in the prices of its cars ranging from Rs 24,800 to Rs 43,000 across all models of the Astra, Corsa and Swing with immediate effect.

The reduction is in response to the proposed reduction in excise duties on automobiles in this year's Union Budget. The Corsa 1.4 GL, which was earlier available for Rs 5,49,920 is now available at Rs 5,25,056. The price for the Astra Gli PT has been reduced from Rs 8,40,448 to Rs 8,03,600.
