HYDERABAD, May 14

THE Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the nodal agency of the Government to promote the country'sexternal trade, has deferred the `Incredible India-2003' expo scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur in June due to the threat of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

Confirming the postponement of the expo, a top ITPO official told Business Line that the meet would now be held between December 2 and 6 at the Putra World Trade Centre.

The organisation has also lined up a `multi-product' exhibition in Sydney, Australia and Fiji in the same month.

The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Fapcci), the apex chambers of the State, was to participate in the exhibition in the `AP Focus' edition as a `Partner State'.

The expo would have products in telecom, engineering, textiles, handicrafts, IT, agriculture and automobiles on display.
