Water level declines in Karnataka

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water level in the major water reservoirs of the State have declined compared to the recordings made during the last week, according to Central Water Commission sources.

In Kallada, the level declined from 317.91 ft last week to 314.04 ft, while in Idukki, source to most of the State's requirement of electricity, it receded from 2302.23 ft to 2300.40 ft.

In Idamalayar, the level came down from last week's 402.79 ft to 398.92 ft. Year-on-year readings showed that In Kallada, the level had risen by 15.42 ft, while in the other two reservoirs, it had come down, compared to the last year.
